  1. Weird BSOD with new monitor

About 3 days ago I got a new monitor its 170hz and 1440p since then when I play Microsoft flight simulator and watch YouTube videos at the exact same time my video glitches on YouTube and my entire pc freezes and crashes with the bsod (DPC_WATCHDOGS_VIOLATION). upon further research I now see that the BSOD relates to my Nvidia drivers. I already reinstalled them with DDU and even the older drivers don't work.

    now here's the weird part.

If I only use 1 monitor meaning my second one the pc works fine even while videos are playing. If I plug in my 2 Monitor my primary one. The YouTube video displays weird artifacts before freezing and BSOD.

Even Weirder, I disabled hardware acceleration in MS edge settings and now the video works fine, no crashes no matter what.

My question is, Is this due to a faulty DP cable or something else, it cant be my video card cause it works 100% fine in every other game except Microsoft flight sim and watching videos at the same time

keep in mind it only happens when playing games and watching YouTube at the same exact time with hardware acceleration turned on.

Just found out it happens with HDMI aswell making it 100% a software bug.

    Weird BSOD problem

    Hi Everyone,

I have a weird BSOD problem which I cannot solve for a while(it persists still after upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7)

The main strange thing about this is that I get BSOD only after cold boot.
    So it acts like this:

    1. start PC.
    2. Get to Windows Logo Screen
    3. BSOD
    4. Restart
    5. Get to menu where I can try to repair or Start NormallyIf I Choose Repair, it will fail to repair and will try to restoreIf I Choose Start Normally, it will start OK, no BSOD, can work normally, games, browse internet, everything is normal.6. Shutdown PC
    7. Next time when I start is all over again i.e. Go to Step 1

I have this problem for a while, so what I tried:
    1. Another Windows 7
    2. Another HDD
    3. Only HDD connected
    4. Changed RAM
    5. Tried with built in GPU
    6. Upgraded to Windows 10

Result is the same as above every time.

Please suggest what could be the cause.
    Logs collected with DM_Log_Collector, attached.

    Thank you

PS. This thread is a continuation of this one: Frequent multiple errors BSOD. Solved - Windows 7 Help Forums the only thing changed is Windows 10 now. instead of Windows 7. If that helps somehow.

Overclocking / Undervolting guide for Vega 56 or 64?

    Here's a quick laundry list:

List of software to use for overclocking and testing
    Examples:
Wattman (and how to find and use it, like an overview, including profiles)
Unigine Valley or Heaven (use this for quick testing while changing settings in Wattman and checking for stability / artifacts) ...just suggesting this
How to monitor cores / mem speeds and temps during testing (I've seen screen overlays, and others using GPUz)

    Step-by step overclocking in Wattman
    Fan speeds
    Power limit
    Temp limit
    Voltages
    Core speeds
    Memory speeds

    Weird BSOD with new monitor

    New monitor suggestions, £200 budget

So I am getting (hopefully) £200 of amazon vouchers from work for Christmaqs and have decided I want to get a new monitor, my current is a 23" Samsung Syncmaster, I believe it's a TN panel and the res is 2048x1152. It really is starting to get on my nerves as the coloring is not very natural so I am thinking an IPS panel would probably be a lot better quality wise so I am open to some suggestions as I really don't have a clue when it comes to monitors.

    Things to note:

    • I do not want to go smaller than 24"
    • Would prefer 27" if possible for the budget
    • If not then perhaps 24" 120hz
    • I currently run 2048x 1152 though 1920 x 1080 is fine
    • Must come in at or around £200-£250 absolute max
