Windows 10: Adding Quick Access Star to desktop

I had to re-install Windows Pro 64 from scratch due to security issues. Now I can't find a way to add the Quick Access Star icon back to my desktop. It really makes my work go faster. How do I do this?

Remove items from Quick access.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Right click on the file or folder.
• Select the option “unpin from the quick access”

To pin items to an item already on the quick access bar.

Follow the below steps.

I would suggest you to create folder in the desktop screen & place all the files or folder which need to pin to the quick access.

• Open the quick access.
• Select the Desktop option.
• Right click on the folder & select the option “pin to quick access”

update about Quick Access not responding

To troubleshoot your concern, we suggest that you try to follow the steps provided below:

• Disable Quick Access.
• Re-enable Quick Access.
• Restart your computer, and see if it helps.

Quick access not working

Some folks may not know what Quick access is, if you open File Explorer (or Windows Explorer as it used to be), on the left hand side menu in first place you have Quick access with a blue star icon.

I recently reinstalled Windows and QA worked for a while, but at some point I couldn't add folders to the QA list any more and then it just stopped working and all the folders I HAD added to the QA list are now gone.

Now, when I try to add a folder to QA it say "Unspecified error."

Any ideas on what the problem may be?
