Windows 10: Remove all info from computer that is being returned

Hello,

Just bought a new HP computer and when I was setting it up all information from my current computer was transferred to my new one without doing anything. I thought ok, no problem. however when I went to register it I was told I had 8 months left on my warranty. I just purchased this on 10/24/2020 but the information said the warranty began in June 2020 and would expire 7/2021. I was on a chat with an HP representative and ask how could this be? I was told to upload a copy of my invoice and they would adjust the warranty period. I asked if the had be registered to someone else and they said they didn't know. I thought this was not true so I am sending the computer back, how do I delete all of my information?

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

 

GPUz Incorrect Info GF117

I've got the GT620M in a Zenbook and the newest version of GPUz has it listed as a 40nm part whereas all other info on the web suggests its 28nm. Can you investigate, W1z?

remove all downloads, mail, documents, pictures etc. and return computer to the way it was when I bought it

Hi bigax,

I would suggest that you follow the steps RJFYEG suggested for you to follow. However!... "Before" you do this, Make sure to do a Complete Dish Image of your system to a External Hard Drive. (Just encase of problems so you can return to your
existing system state without problems).
