    How do I change a sympatico primary alias ?


    Hello all, I truly hate to bring this up again but I'm trying to change my primary alias on my windows account. Problem is that I originally used a sympatico email address from Bell my ex ISP that has long since been deleted and I keep getting the error message "Your organization's policies prevent you from changing your primary alias."
    I've seen many similar cries for help dating back almost 5 years, none of which have provided a fix for this issue but Microsoft has locked the threads anyway.
    Can anyone step up to help fix this? I have a full Microsoft Office suite where I can't use Outlook 2016 and have to rely on it's dumb cousin Outlook.

    Change primary alias- error "your organization's policies prevent you from changing your primary alias".

    I have changed email providers from sympatico to gmail. I cannot remove the sympatico email as my primary alias, getting the message "your organization's policies prevent you from changing your primary alias". I am the sole user of this laptop and I have
    no idea how to change "my organization's policies". I am able to access the net only by clicking on Chrome's "Run as an administrator" with slower performance.

    How do I eliminate the primary alias to regain normal usage with the new email sign on?

    As per description, when you click to change the primary on nothing happens.

    Have you tried to perform the troubleshooting steps provided under section
    Change which alias is primary     ?

    If you have not performed the troubleshooting steps I would suggest you perform steps under
    Change which alias is primary , from my previous post. Which are as follow.


    Note: The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might reset security settings or privacy settings that you added to the list of Trusted Sites. The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might also reset
    parental control settings. We recommend that you note these sites before you use the Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature.

    How do I change a sympatico primary alias ?

    Change primary alias- error "your organization's policies prevent you from changing your primary alias".

    I just stumbled into this problem myself. I am in the process of switching from Bell Canada and hence losing my sympatico email address. I find myself unable to change the primary alias on my Microsoft account which is stuck as my sympatico email address.

    Any information as to how to change my primary alias would be helpful. I am loathe to create a new Microsoft account since I have no idea how to move my Xbox account over to the new Microsoft account and I recently renewed my Xbox Gold membership.

    The ongoing technobabble run around from Microsoft on this issue is becoming frustrating.
