move "microsoft photos app" to another drive windows 10

I'm out of space on c: and need to move some store apps to another drive, especially the photos app.

Other posts here say to set the SYSTEM storage location in settings to the other drive. Photos will not install there, and can not be moved from the c drive.

If I set a symbolic link from C:\Program Files\WindowsApps to D:\Program Files\WindowsApps, and move that directory to d:, will it work? .... for all store apps?

    Any other options?

    :)

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

The Photos app brings together pictures from all your devices using OneDrive, so that you can browse them by date, album or folder. It also automatically enhances photos, and creates albums for you, to showcase your best shots.

    • Go to settings and system.
    • Click on Default Apps and select the appropriately.

    Method 2:

I suggest you to reinstall Photo app using the PowerShell command
and reinstall using the Windows store. Follow the below steps.

    • Open the Start menu, type Windows PowerShell in the search bar.
    • Right click on the Windows PowerShell and select Run as administrator.
