Windows 10: Windows keeps signing me out from Skype, Edge, Outlook, Chrome, ...

After I recently installed all available Windows 10 updates, Windows started signing me out of various programs every time I restart my computer.

When Skype starts, and I am using the desktop app, it asks me to sign in. This happens randomly, not always.

When Edge is started, it asks me to sign in, even though I did not sign out.

Also, it sometimes happens that I have to sign in to Facebook or YouTube, even though I did not sign out and I did not enable in Settings any item to be cleared when Edge is closed. This seems to happen randomly, not always.


Another problem is that synchronization in Chrome gets paused and I have to sign in, even though I did not sign out.


Outlook 2016 used with Kerio Connect sometimes asks for the password to my email account. The same happens with CalDAV Synchronizer where the password edit box is simply empty.


All together, it looks like Windows were randomly clearing/deleting certain credentials. Could it be anything in Settings, causing this extremely annoying behavior? Without changing any settings for Windows or any of the above mentioned programs, this started happening about a week ago; everything worked just fine for weeks and months before.


I currently use Windows 10 Pro, version 20H2, OS Build 19042.630.

Windows 10 - Outlook Hyperlinks and PDFs Opening in Edge Not Chrome

I want to once again use Chrome for URLs and Adobe Reader for PDFs, but lost this after a Windows 10 auto-update.

I now too have the situation where PDFs in emails I receive in Outlook (2010) open in Edge, and when I attach a PDF to an Outlook email it shows as an Edge doc. Also, URLs in Outlook Emails open in Edge. PDFs and URLs other than in Outlook open with my
preferences.

I've reset all the defaults I can find to associate PDFs with Adobe Reader and URLs to Chrome. Also tried the suggested regedit change. Didn't help at all.

My Set Default Programs don't show Microsoft Outlook, just:

• Microsoft account
• Microsoft Edge
• Microsoft family restrictions
• Microsoft Solitaire Collection

Control Panel shows I have both Microsoft Office Click-to-Run 2010 (which includes Visio) and Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010 - English (which includes Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint).

 

Delete mails in Outlook but want to keep mails untouch in webmail

When I deleted an email in outlook and my webmail got deleted too. I want to keep all the inbox mails from the webmail even I complete deleted in outlook. I spend hrs can't think it out how. Any step by step instruction? I'm using IMAP account btw. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

 

Windows 10 no IE 11/Chrome/Skype but Edge is working

After researching more on my own, I had to do the following:

• Uninstall Cisco VPN anyconnect client
• Uninstall Microsoft UAG components
• Re-install WIndows 10 upgrade (Microsoft support gave me the link)
• netsh winsock reset (as admin)

After this, it worked. Took me 3 days to figure it out. MIcrosoft's answer was to roll-back to Windows 8, which my computer said I couldn't do. I'm thankful I found a solution.

This fixed Skype, IE 11, Chrome, though Edge worked the whole time. Otherwise I had to set Chrome/Skype in comp mode for win7/8, but IE would never work. Now everything is back to normal.
