    Noisy hard drives

Hello Noisy Continual operating hard drive windows 10 :) I have 2 hard drives. One of them is very noisy when powered on. I can feel my desk vibrating when its reading. (I think its dying) Its around 6 years old, so Im expecting it to stop working soon. My other drive is also abit noisy but not as bad as the first one. (The other drive is 3 years old) But anyway, is it any way to manually turn off hard drives without unplugging them? Power saving helps, but they always seem to turn on again after a while. It it any software on the internet that can put hard drives into a power saving mode that it cant wake up from unless I want it to?

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
