Windows 10: Windows overriding grub installed by kali

Hi there!


I am using Windows 10 alongside Kali linux on my computer. I always update Windows 10 as recommended but it changes the dual boot menu at the start to choose Windows 10 or Kali. After the applied changes during the update, the boot menu is no longer visible and the system bypasses the boot menu directly to load Windows 10.


Therefore, after every update, I would have to go through a rigorous exercise to bring back the menu. Is there anyway Windows 10 do not change commands to by pass boot menu during every windows update? The only other option for me is to disable Windows 10 update.

Grub rescue

I install kali linux 2020.2 dual boot with win10 but in the etap of install of Grub it say cannt install grub in dummy so i skip this etap and finish the installation of kali....put when i rebout my laptop i get this error :no such partition

Grub rescue>

So when i write:

Grub rescue>fix prefix=(hd0,gpt4)/boot/grub

Grub rescue>fix root=(hd0,gpt4)

Grub rescue>insmod normal

Grub rescue>normal

I entre to grub table of the kali linux and it contain Win 10

My problem is how i access direct to the grub table of kali linux without get Grub rescue>!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Install Kali Linux without GRUB?

Is it possible, and is it actually best to just use my onboard UEFI to boot Kali Linux instead of using GRUB if Kali Linux is sharing the same drive as my Windows 10 OS?

I installed GRUB on my first attempt to install Kali Linux alongside Windows 10. GRUB never loaded, and when I used the original UEFI firmware to boot Kali Linux instead, I got GRUB and then accessed Kali Linux that way. It worked the first time I logged on, but then my login screen froze the second time I tried booting Kali.

And then, as soon as I restarted Windows 10 for an update, it wouldn't completely start. I ended up having to run back to a recent system image I made of Windows 10 (thank goodness I took all of these precautions).

I want to use Kali Linux for penetration testing of computers on my network. I don't think VirtualBox will help me accomplish this the way I need to. Do you have any suggestions?

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
