    Update Error

So about a week ago my windows 10 computer wanted to do an update, so of course I updated it as I usually would, no problems doing the update. Then later that night I noticed my computer screen on, worth noting that with my computer, whenever it needs to do an update and I just turn it off without doing the update, the computer will turn back on by itself later. So I was confused by this considering I had already done the update so I just force powered down the computer so I could get to sleep. The next day when turning it on It had an error immediately saying that it needs to do repairs, so I let the repairs run and then logged in and realized it had another update to do. So I did that update, no problems, but ever since then when turning my computer back on it needs to do repairs prior to logging in. Does anyone know why this would happen? Thanks in advance for the help!

    :)

    Vista Automatic Updating Error

    Resolution Suggestion:

    # To resolve this problem, make sure that BITS and the Automatic Updates service are started..

A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

    1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

    2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

    3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

    4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

    5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

    6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

    7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.
