    Volume coming out of phone even when connected to PC via my phone companion.


    Currently I have a really simple setup. My PC is connected to my phone with the my phone companion app. I see my phone screen and play a youtube video. The volume still comes out of my phone. I was wondering if theres a way to have the volume come out of the PC rather than the phone.

    Your Phone Companion issues

    I used to use the Your Phone app to connect my Android phone to my PC and I had no issues. I think this was on build 1803 of Windows 10.
    I am now running build 1909 and want to connect my new phone to the PC. My PC has always been on a wired connection, connected directly to my router. The phone connects to the wireless network on my router.
    I have the Your Phone Companion installed on the PC and the phone with no problems. The phone appears to connect OK. It goes through the Check your PC stage and then says to select Send notification to give final permission, but on the PC I just have the screen attached and it does nothing else. Does the PC need to be connected wirelessly these days? or am I missing something else.

    Small update:
    I have just tried connection to my MS Surface pro and am getting the exact same problem, so its not to do with the PC being wired. I even found a wireless dongle and connected the PC to the wireless and am still getting the same problem.
    Any idea's would be appreciated.

    Your Phone Companion failures

    If you have no signal strength showing on mobile you cant send receive calls on - PC your phone companion
    It will give the *We Cant Connect To Your Phone" error message
    So have to make sure your mobile is in area in house where got at least a bar showing signal strength

    Your Phone Companion failures

    If you look at my image I posted, my 4G Verizon service is next to zero; but because my phone is connected to my Wi-Fi network that bar is somewhat meaningless; especially since set my phone to use Wi-Fi calling.

    Alright. What do you want us to do... cry all night over it. We already acknowledged it's spotty.
