I suspect it is there from when I tried Xbox Game Pass on my PC. But I uninstalled everything having to do with Game Pass and yet it still comes back. If I set the permissions to full control on it and delete it. It just comes back a few days later. It makes me incredibly annoyed and pissed off that I can't keep my folders how I want them. It's legit the only reason I stopped using Game Pass, because it created like 5 random folders in my G drive that I couldn't move into their own "Game Pass" one. And it made my G drive look really messy.

Is there any way to get rid of this? I'm assuming formatting would work, but I'd rather not have to reinstall all of my games.

SSD storage keeps filling up on its own

    Hi Ash,

There's a possibility that the files are just hidden. As an initial troubleshooting, we suggest following the steps below on how to display hidden files that's eating space of your SSD:

    • On the Search bar, type folder, and then select
Show hidden files and folders from the search results.
    • Under Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives,
      and then select OK.

Keep us in the loop with the result.

DeliveryOptimization folder - why is it there?

    Hi,

I noticed a couple of weeks back that a DeliveryOptimization folder appeared in the root of my data drive. I've made no changes to my Windows Update configuration and don't use the Delivery Optimization feature.

I can delete the folder but it reappears with seemingly no pattern.

Why is this folder appearing? Can I remove it permanently?

If not - can I move it to another drive?

    Many thanks,

    Sean

Windows 10 search for a specific folder name and file name

Carlos: Thanks for your reply. What you suggest is what I have been doing. I search for folders with a specific name and get a list. Then I have to search each folder for a specific file. So it's a two step search and that's what I was trying to avoid.

I assume there are applications out there that allow for an "AND" search in Windows. I'll try that approach.

    Thanks, again.
