Windows 10: Real Problem - Probably with Win 10 Settings

If got an exasperating problem.

First I thought it was my LibreOffice. Open a spreadsheet and it opens it at cell AMJ3293 (or whatever the bottom far right number is).Scroll to the far left and I can see my spreadsheet, but it won't stay there. It wants to keep going back to column AMJ and bottom right number. This all started after I tried to do a sort about 4 times because I kept getting the parameters wrong in LibreCalc. And I cannot get it to stop. So I cannot do ANY LibreCalc work. I think that was the original cause. Or at least when I noticed this starting. I actually do not think the problem is with LibreOffice because I have related problems with my browsers and also File Explorer.

Then I thought it was my browser. Brave, Chrome, Edge won't scroll the scroll bar on the right. Only the Up/Down arrows work. Only FireFox works correctly.

File Explorer is also a problem. Move the cursor to the left side and the left scrolls all by itself, even if I want it to be stationery. It won't stop scrolling until I move the cursor out of the left directory frame.

Has anyone got any ideas what is, or might be causing this strange behavior? It's nigh on impossible to get any work done.

win 10 audio problem. laptop probably.

It is possible that your audio is not working properly due to corrupted/outdated drivers or hardware problems. To efficiently assist you, we'd like to gather more information:

• What is the build and version of your Windows 10?
• Have you tried updating your computer?
• Since you've mentioned that no speakers or headphones work to fix the sound the sound icon, does that mean when you connect any speakers and headphones there's no sound?
• Are you getting any error messages when connecting a speaker and headphone?

access BIOS settings in Win 10

I have an 8-year old computer running Win 10. I need to access the BIOS settings. It used to be the holding down the F2 key during startup would bring up the BIOS screen in Windows computers. But this no longer works. A web article listed a complicated
series of steps leading to a reboot . . . but still no access to BIOS. Any suggestions?

 

win 10 causing 55 min delay in real time futures market quotes

referring to a site using real time streaming charts of futures markets

the site streams real time market quote charts beautifully in Win 7 (my old dying machine) and in Win 8 (my wife's machine), but my replacement machine running Win 10 is consistently 55 min delayed from real time streaming quotes. I disabled anti-virus and
firewall, assuming that was the problem, but to no benefit. it appears to be Win 10 specific. is there still a problem with Win 10 and shockwave and / or Java? Any settings in Win 10 that I can change to achieve real time streaming of quotes from a web site,
without an hours delay?

three hours later - with suggestion from another Board - I solved my problem. My time zone and clock settings were out of sync....... I feel so stupid! But it is 'on time' now and working fine!
