Windows 10: How to run a program automatically when another program starts?

Hi

I have a .exe which I want to be run automatically when I manually run another program

I play League of Legends and I want to prevent myself from typing (helps me improve my mood), so I have an Autohotkey script which basically disables my Enter key when I'm in-game. I want this Autohotkey script to be launched automatically when I first start League of Legends. Is there a way to achieve this?

Open a running program

Hi,

Which program are you referring to?

If Windows states that the program but can't see it, then I would suggest you check in the task manager if the program is running in the background. Right click on the start menu and select "Task manager" and check if the process is listed in the processes
that are running currently. If yes, right click on the program and click on "End task" to end the process completely. Now restart the PC and try launching the program. If the issue persists, get back to us with the name of the application that you are trying
to use so that we can check suggest accordingly.

I suggest you to sign out from the current user account, restart the computer and then sign in to the Admin account to check if this helps.

Some problems can be fixed by signing out of your account and then signing back in. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and select Sign out. Once you’ve signed out, sign back in to your account.

You may put the pc in a clean boot state to check if that helps. When you start Microsoft Windows, typically there are several programs that start automatically and run in the background that may interfere with the system. These programs may
include antivirus and system utility programs. When you perform a clean startup procedure, you prevent these programs from starting automatically.

Can't start individual programs in safe mode


I only have a few items in Startup, but I am sure there are many background programs that run automatically and I'm not sure I want to mess around with them.
I will try your suggestion, but if the problem turns out not to be one of my Startup items what would be the next step?
