Windows 10: Windows Update 2004 KB4586781 failing with error codes 0x80073701 and 0x8024200B

For the last two weeks, I've been having stability problems with various different programs on my computer, especially web browsers and voice chat apps Discord and Skype. After running diagnostics on all my hardware and checking recently installed programs and updates, today I tried updating all my drivers, and I noticed my Windows 10 installation doesn't have update 2004 or 20H2. My driver updates all installed without any problems, but the Windows 10 updates kept failing with error 0x80073701. I then tried doing the following actions:

-Ran Windows Update Troubleshooter couldn't find anything wrong

-Reset Windows Update ran the script from this page, script ran successfully, update still failed to install with the same error

-Downloaded the update package for 2004 from http://download.windowsupdate.com/c/msdownload/update/software/secu/2020/11/windows10.0-kb4586781-x64_bd543ce012ec1695201cdb2d324a2206bd445132.msu and tried installing it locally gave me error 0x8024200B
-Made sure the wuauserv, cryptSvc, bits, and msiserver services were all running no difference


I'm still stuck on error 0x8024200B. Does anyone have other troubleshooting suggestions for me to try, or should I just back up my files, reinstall my OS/do a factory reset, and hope for the best?

Windows update failed KB4571756 with error 0x80073701. Downloaded Standalone Installer windows10.0-kb4571756-x64.msu failed with error 0x8024200B.

I've already tried these steps:

- Windows Update troubleshooter <- no errors

- sfc /scannow <- no errors

- Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth <- no errors

- Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth <- no errors

- dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup

- deleted content SoftwareDistribution and catroot2

tried again via Windows update and standalone install but got the same error.

The device is a Surface Pro3 running Windows 10 Pro 2004 without any previous Windows Update issues.

Hi, Thanks for the suggestions. I ran the troubleshooter and it said it couldn't find any problems. But then I noticed there was an arrow for details and got this:



I stopped here because I have no idea what the BITS Service is and wanted to find out before I started messing with it. I don't understand where I'm supposed to type "NETHELPMSG 2182" If you could explain and tell me how to proceed from here, would be much appreciated.

Also should note that for at least two years the first line on Windows Update Screen is in red and says "Some settings are managed by your organization". I am my organization. Here are the settings just in case they are now causing problems?
