Windows 10: Unable to Install Minecraft RTX Beta with 3090

I have tried multiple times to download and install the RTX Beta for Windows 10 Minecraft. I've tried enrolling with the Xbox Insider Hub, the XIH Beta, and nothing seems to work. I've tried installing and waiting for the system to update, for days at a time. I've tried uninstalling anything left over with the powershell function.


I am running Windows 10 with the latest updates with a i9-9900k and EVGA 3090 on the latest Nvidia drivers.


The Windows Store just refuses to update. It stays at v1.16.100.


It has been weeks now and nothing is working. The game refuses to install the beta channels. Can anyone please help me here. I only bought Minecraft to play with RTX. Nothing I do ever enables the advanced graphics options or any of the betas, not just the RTX Beta. The Windows Store just refuses to acknowledge that there's a beta option to update to.

Can't get Minecraft RTX beta

I wanted to try out the new RTX feature in Minecraft but unfortunately it won't update to the beta version. I followed all necessary instructions and my system meets the required specs (RTX 2060, Ryzen 5 2600x, 16GB RAM). Drivers are up to date.

I signed up for the beta via the XBox Insider app. Minecraft was already installed, but it simply did not update. Searching for updates in the Microsoft Store app didn't make a difference. Neither did re-installing Minecraft. It seems that no matter what
I do in the Insider app, Minecraft will stay on normal public build. Unfortunately there is no error or any kind of message at all. The Minecraft beta simply won't download, with no hint what's going wrong on my end.

Any suggestions would be very welcome.

EDIT: If this question is rather suited for the XBox section (since the beta is accessed via XBox Insider), please do let me know.

Yes the RTX 3090 is listed as compatible with the Asrock H81M DGS though you may need to get a bigger power supply, depending on your previous graphics card . . .
