  1. How to enable network connections service on Win10

    Hello,

I am running Windows 10 (version 1909) on MSI B450 tomahawk with Ryzen 2600 and I am unable to connect to the internet via WiFi. I know this motherboard does not have an inbuilt Wi-Fi card, so I have attached an external USB WiFi dongle ( TP-link Archer T2U). The USB dongle is recognized by the computer and the appropriate drivers are installed. The dongle shows up under network adapters in device manager.

However, the computer does not show any network connections in the "Network and Sharing Center" and the "Network Connections" folder is empty, which shows the basic network information and set up connections.

When I try to troubleshoot using the inbuilt windows troubleshooter, I get an error message saying "The windows wireless service is not running on this computer".

I have tried registry editing and network reset and some other "solutions" I found on the internet to no avail.

I am able to connect to the internet using an ethernet cable.

I have verified the USB dongle works by connecting it to another computer.

I have been trying to resolve this for more than a week, any help would be greatly appreciated. If this is not the appropriate sub, please guide me to one where I can find some solution.

  4. How to enable network connections service on Win10

    Losing network connection

Hello Dear, if you have a laptop or a PC with a wireless network adapter, you can see a list of available wireless networks and then connect to one of those networks. The wireless networks will only appear if your PC has a wireless network adapter installed, the adapter is turned on, and the wireless access point is in range.

    1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.

    2. In the left pane, under Network Tasks, click View available wireless networks.
In case, If you don't see the network you want to connect to, click Refresh network list. If you see the network but the signal is weak, move the PC closer to the wireless router.

    3. Click the network you want to connect to, and then click Connect.

    4. If you're connecting to a secure network, type the security key, and then click OK.

I Hope you solve out your query soon.
