Windows 10: Unable to download Minecraft for Windows 10

I had Minecraft installed on two computers - no problems there, but one of them crashed and I had to get a new one. So I installed windows 10 on this new computer and wanted to install Minecraft, so I logged in into the Microsoft Store and tried to download the game and I got

So I contacted the support and literally spent 6 hours trying to troubleshoot the problem, to no solution.

Another problem is that after every support session restart I got connected to a new support tech and it seems there is no paper trail in the system, because everyone tried to clear the cache, reset the cache, reset the store, repair the store, create local user but NOTHING worked. Still the same error.


So is there ANY way I can get the game now on this new computer?

Can’t download minecraft

We understand your concern as you are unable to install Minecraft on your PC.
In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the Windows 10 Version and Build installed? (Type winver
  in Windows search/Run command)
• What is the version of Minecraft you are installing? (Java/Windows 10)
• Do you get any error message?

If you are installing Minecraft Windows 10 version,
then we would suggest you to perform these steps and after every step check if you are able to install Minecraft.



Step 1:
Reset the Windows Store Cache

Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the
Run dialog box, type wsreset.exe, and then select OK.



Note:
A blank Command Prompt window will open, and after about ten seconds the window will close and Microsoft Store will open automatically.



Step 2:
Run the Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter

Select the Start button, and then select Settings>Update & Security
> Troubleshoot, and then from the list select Windows Store apps > Run the troubleshooter.



Step 3:
Reset Microsoft Store

Refer the steps in this article: Reset Microsoft Store via Settings.



Step 4: New user account

If the issue persists, then we would suggest you to create a new administrator user account and check, refer this article to
create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10.

Unable to open Minecraft

Thank you for your interest in Windows 10.

• Are you using Minecraft app downloaded from Store or Minecraft program?
• Do you receive any error?

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall Minecraft and check if that fixes the issue.

Also try to download and install the display and chipset drivers from the manufacturer website.

Can't download Minecraft for Windows 10

Hi,

There are many possible reasons why you are unable to download Minecraft for Windows 10 on your PC. There is a possibility that the license of the game did not reflect right away on your account or you are logged in to a different profile. To resolve your
concern, you may need to reset the Windows Store to clear the store cache. You may follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X on your keyboard.
  
• Click on Command prompt (Admin).
  
• Type wsreset.exe, and then hit Enter.
  

Make sure that you are logged in to the account that you used to purchase the game. You can also try to sign out and sign in to the Windows Store again to refresh your profile.

To download the game:

• Launch Windows Store and click on the profile icon at the top right of the page.
• Go to My Library and download Minecraft for Windows 10.

If you are still unable to download the game, you may open the Xbox App and go to
My Games.

Download the game there. If the game is not available, click on Find games in the Store.
