Crossplay on Minecraft: Ps4 with PC and Pc with Pc "Unable to Connect"

    Hello,

So me and my friend have spent the last 3 hours trying to connect to each others worlds on Minecraft. She has Minecraft Bedrock Edtition on her HP Laptop and I have Minecraft Bedrock Edtition on my Ps4 and my Pc. Now, we tried connecting the Ps4 and her Pc together. However, everytime either of us connect to either of our worlds it says "unable to connect". I will put a summary of what we have done below. Yes, we had multiplayer game enabled. Yes, we had friends of friends allowed. Yes, we loaded a single-player world, saved-quit it then tried to join. Yes, we have closed the game and opened it again. Yes, cross-platform play is enabled on both devices. So after, 2 hours of frustration, we tried to connect to our worlds with my Pc. So basically, this was a Pc trying to play a game with another Pc. Not even crossplay. The "unable to connect" issue still infuriated us. At this point I was thinking it was an issue with our acounts. Both of our accounts are verified. Both of our accounts are friends with each other. So we tried logging out and back in on both of our accounts however it still said "unable to connect". Here is a summary list of our experience.

We changed NAT type on both of our networks to 1 open. Didn't work.

We turned off our firewalls on both of our Pcs. Didn't work.

We enabled multiplayer game on both of our worlds. Didn't work.

We logged out and back in of our Microsoft accounts. Didn't work.

We switched from cross-platform play to same platform play. Didn't work.

We set our network configurations to Public. Didn't work.

We turned off all of our Malware Detection software just for kicks.. Didn't work.

We enabled cross-platform play on Ps4 AND Pc. Didn't work.

We allowed friends and friends of friends to play on both of our worlds. Didn't work.

We allowed the file "javaw.exe" on both of our Pcs. Didn't work.

We turned the IP addresses of both of our Pcs to automatic. Didn't work.

We deleted Minecraft and reinstalled it on both Pcs and the Ps4. Didn't work.

After about 3 hours we quit, went to the gym to get our frustration out, came back and threatened the game as in yelling at it for about thirty minutes. Didn't work.

We found that we can make a temporary server to play on for Pc bedrock but we can't choose the seed or settings. Didn't help.

After 4 hours of trying to figure this out we have decided that Microsoft has no idea what they are doing and when they advertised the game as "cross-platform play", they were actually lying to get everyone infuriated. In actuality, there IS no cross-platform play. It's nice to see that after 10 years I still can't play with my best-friends. This is why I switched from XBox to Ps4, because of the amount of frustration that console brings with the whole "Microsoft Account" BS. You don't have these sort of problems with Sony. They have their **** together. After 10 long years, Microsoft still doesn't have it together.

So here is my question. What the hell are we doing wrong? Hm? At this point, I don't care if you can fix it or not because we are most likely deleting the game after todays experience. We have scoured reddit forums, youtube videos, blogs, help websites, and even your help center for answers. And by the looks of it, EVERYONE has this problem. So we honestly don't care if you can fix this or not because we know you can't. You guys still have the same problems you did 10 years ago when I was trying to play Minecraft with friends on the Xbox 360. After that much time I still can't play with friends even IF its on the SAME PLATFORM. If a giant company like Microsoft hasn't fixed a tiny problem like this yet after 10 years, then maybe the company just sucks.

    :)

  4. Crossplay on Minecraft: Ps4 with PC and Pc with Pc "Unable to Connect"

    Minecraft PC to PS4.

    Hi,

Right now, PS4 Bedrock Mincraft doesn't support Realms yet.

And Realms are the only way you can transfer your Worlds from one device family to another device family (in your case Windows 10 to PS4).

So in case PS4 Minecraft gets the necessary update to also support realms, you can either rent a Realm, or if it's a one time transfer you can start a free trial for a Realm.

Upload your PC world to the Realm after Realms become enabled, and then connect your PS4 device to the same Realm and download the world again.

Be aware that this "disconnects" the worlds, if you keep them locally on your devices. So changes you make on your PS4 device will not happen on your world stored on the PC.

If you want to keep the worlds "in sync" on both devices, you will have to pay rent for a Realm server, and store your world on the Realm server, and connect to that Realm with your devices.

Or you can keep the world on one device, and allow your other devices to connect to that world via Multiplayer. In that case the world is only available when the device is running Minecraft, of course.
