Looks like it's only causing local network issues, I do loose internet connection on W10 device but I think I can still stream from it via plex. More testing to be done. Could this be a virus?

TP-LINK Announces Archer C7 802.11 ac Router for Online Gaming, HD Video

TP-LINK, a global provider of networking products, today announced the AC1750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router, Archer C7, the first in a family of next-generation routers that support the 802.11 ac standard, to deliver faster data transfer rates of up to 1.75 Gbps.

TP-LINK's Archer C7 operates over both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands to give users two dedicated networks to ensure lag-free throughput for work or entertainment. Devices processing simple tasks, such as sending e-mails or web browsing, can operate on the 2.4 GHz band while those that process bandwidth intensive tasks, such as online gaming or HD video streaming, can leverage the 5 GHz band - all at the same time.

The Archer C7 features three detachable external 5dBi antennas to serve the 5 GHz band and three internal antennas that serve to 2.4GHz band, reducing co-channel interference. The combination helps users maintain high speeds across greater distances anywhere in a large home or office.

To provide an added level of security, TP-LINK ships all wireless routers pre-encrypted to ensure that end-user networks are protected from the moment they are plugged in. Users can customize their security settings and set-up a guest network to further protect personal data.

"Routers are the hub of the digital home and business. As more smart devices enter the scene, consumers need a smart router solution that can deliver speed and range, ease-of-use, solid security, and enable them to access their data wherever they are," said Lewis Wu, Country Manager for TP-LINK USA.

Other standard features include IPv6 support as well as one gigabit WAN port and four gigabit LAN ports for ultra fast data transfers. Dual multi-functional USB 2.0 ports are also included, which allow users to share printers, files and media with different devices throughout a local area network and via an ftp server while away from home.

TP-LINK's Archer C7 can serve as a powerful hub to support a robust AC1750 network for any home or business, available now at MSRP $149.99.

    TP-LINK Archer C7 Highlights:
    • Supports 802.11 ac standard - the next generation of WiFi
    • Simultaneous 2.4 GHz 450 Mbps and 5 GHz 1300 Mbps connections for 1.75 Gbps of total available bandwidth
    • Three 5 dBi external antennas and three internal antennas provide maximum Omni-directional wireless coverage and reliability
    • Dual USB Ports - easily share printers, files or media with friends or family, locally or over the internet
    • Guest Network Access to provide secure WiFi access for guests sharing the home or office network

SOLVED - Archer C7 + TL-SG108E = Wifi without net - all network devices need diferent IP address

    Hello,

    I have a strange problem.

I got a TP-Link ARCHER C7 Wireless router a long time ago and it has been working OK.

I need more Ethernet sockets so I got a TP-Link Smart Switch TL-SG108E and connected it to the Archer C7 (DHCP on for Archer C7 and off for Switch). The setup worked OK for a few days, but, now I do not get Internet over WIFI on my cellphones. As soon as I disconnect the switch the internet comes on over wifi.

    What could it be?
