Windows 10: Games/Programs Set in Fullscreen Have Low Quality/Resolution After I Reset My PC.

I reset my PC after I couldn't log in because Windows Hello had a problem with the pin where it says "Something happened and your pin isn't available." But that's not my problem.

After I reset my PC, I set up everything like before and when I open programs/games in fullscreen, the quality/resolution is low. blurry, hard to see, colors not good, etc. I tried reinstalling and updating the display drivers and I had no luck. The games/programs look fine in windowed and borderless mode. So I have no clue what is going on here. Can someone help?


Specs:

CPU = Intel® Core™ i5-8250U processor 1.6 GHz 6M Cache, up to 3.4 GHz

GPU = NVIDIA GeForce MX930

Ram = 12 Gb

OS = Windows 10

PC = Asus A442U

Low graphics quality can be caused by incorrect graphics settings, or that the resolution settings of your device are not configured correctly, etc. For us to isolate the issue about low graphics quality when playing games in Windows 10, kindly respond to
the questions below:

• Can you describe to us if the graphics issue is only exhibited when playing games?
• After contacting the support for your graphics card, can you tell us more about the troubleshooting steps that they have instructed you? This is for us to know and to avoid any duplication of efforts on your end.

Forced to play a game @ too high resolution (Ubuntu, fullscreen)?

I'm currently being forced to play Grim Dwan @ 1440p with low quality @ fullscreen. If i try to change to a lower resolution, such as 1080p, this happens:


Other lower resolutions also give the same problem.

Tried taking screenies of it and, to my surprise, the screenies look perfectly fine, showing the game like it was before changing the resolution. Tried recording it via SimpleScreenRecorder and same thing happens.

This doesn't happen if i play in a window: only in fullscreen.

Any ideas?

I just had a random question.

Does running a game fullscreen at a lower resolution other than the native resolution on your PC hurt or damage the monitor in any way?

I have a 1080p monitor, but want to run a game at a better performance so I have wanted to run the game at 720p fullscreen, but do not want to mess up the pixels or something.
