    Five Partitions on M.2 SSD for C: Windows


    I was wondering if I can shrink one volume with 541MB Healthy with the drive I on the same M.2 500 GB Drive for C: Windows. Look below:

    On the same drive with Windows C:\ there are five different partitions below:

    260 MB Healthy (EFI System Partition)
    (WINDOWS CFive Partitions on M.2 SSD for C: Windows :) 236.71 GB NTFS Healthy (Boot, Page File, Crash Dump, Basic Data Partition)
    (IFive Partitions on M.2 SSD for C: Windows :) 541 MB Healthy (Recovery Partition)
    Windows RE tools 980 MB Healthy (Recovery Partition)
    New Volume (AFive Partitions on M.2 SSD for C: Windows :) 227.29 GB NTFS Healthy (Basic Data Partition)

    Now you see all the partitions on one M.2 SSD Drive for Windows and wondering if I can shrink one partition with (IFive Partitions on M.2 SSD for C: Windows :) 541 MB Healthy (Recovery Partition) Because of asking is that I have two Recovery Partitions in that drive. I am not sure what happen with I: partition was created last week. Must have a reason for this partition.

    Let me know if I can shrink one partition into A: or C: to make a single volume.

    M.2 SSD Partitioning

    My OS is installed on an 128GB SATA SSD,

    All other applications, when ever possible I used to install on another 60 SATA SSD.

    I am very happy with the performance. It is pretty fast, better than if it were on the same disk. I have tested the difference.

    Now I have a new ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming Motherboard with Two M.2 slots.

    I am going to buy a 512 GB M.2 SSD.

    As I have under stood the SSD consists of 4 Nos of NAND Chis.

    Therefore on each NAND chip, I presume will have capacity of 64 GBs.

    My question is are they really independent ?

    Can they behave as independent Hard disks?

    If yes,

    Can I partition my new M.2 SSD into an 198GB and 64GB partitions -that means 3 NAND chips and one NAND Chip?

    and enjoy the same or better speed than before that I had with the SATA SSD?

    M.2 cloned from SSD dive, bios problems

    did you cloned only C partition to new m.2 dad ? .

    did you see new m.2 is detected by bios? , if not means get updated bios and flash it .

    or restore the bios default settings .

    after cloned c partition, remove old ssd, then boot the Windows 10 dvd and try to repair startup repair

    i will install windows 7 first then windows 10, so that newest boot maanager will add older version boot entry for win 7 .

    now any bios tweaking like uefi settings in bios? i heard installation is triky in m.2 ssd.
