    Can't update windows past build 18363.1237


    Hi all,

    I am having major problems updating windows past my build 18363.1237. I am using windows 10 pro, version 1909.

    I already checked that the following services are on auto:

    • wuauserv
    • bits
    • cryptoserv
    • trustedinstaller


    when doing the WU troubleshooter, the only 2 thing that come up are as followed:

    the errors I got when the updates failed are:

    1. 0xc1900101

    2. 0x80242016



    I tried doing:

    1. dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth -----> didn't find any corruption

    2. stopping and starting all the services mentioned above ----> the troubleshooter gave me the same message.

    Windows 10 Full Update 1909, 18363.657 Build 18363

    Received notice, on my computer, that I needed to take the free update to windows 10 before my current version expired.

    I updated, the whole OS on 02/23/2020. Specs:= 1909, 18363.657, Build 18363. I now CANNOT change my default browser identification. Microsoft Edge is set as default, surprise, and I can't seem to change it to anything else, e.g. Firefox

    Suggestions???
