Windows 10: This device is being used by another application

Hello. It’s me again. I’ve had a very annoying problem where audio stops playing all of a sudden in Windows for no reason. I try to see what the problem is and it says that the device was being used by another application. I tried ro disable exclusive control but it still does it. Can you help me?

I have Windows 10 Home x64 on the Surface Go.

FYI there’s no Steam Bootstrapper and I have tried to restart the Windows Audio service but the problem doesn’t solve yet

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

• Remove the battery.
• Insert the battery after some time.
• Restart the device and check for status.
