    Somehow I lost all admin rights in System


    Lost all admin rights in system after I failed to renew an app that cleaned up my system. I can log into windows with my user name and password, but once in there no matter what I do it tells me to login as an admin., and I can't seem to give myself admin rights. I tried downloading a password finder to a storage unit, and I can see the program but again, every time I try to run the program, it shows me this same message to enter a user name and password for an ADMIN.

    Hi,

    It seems like you're using a standard user account. In order for you to access C: drive and perform major changes to the system like installing or uninstalling programs, you need to have administrator permissions.

    In order for us to provide a proper resolution, we would like to ask for additional information . Kindly answer the following questions:

    • Are you using a company PC that has a System Admin? If yes, we suggest that you contact them so that you can have your Admin rights again.
    • If you're using a personal PC, how many administrator accounts do you have?

    admin rights keep disappearing!?!!

    Hi guys,

    I am actually having a problem at work that our IT department hasn't been able to figure out. I am supposed to be a member of the admin group. We are on a domain. The problem is that everytime I reboot the computer I loose my admin rights(no longer in the administrator group) and just become a normal user again. I have tried googling this and didn't get to many results.
    I believe IT is just giving me local admin rights, not admin rights for the whole domain.

    Any suggestions?

    EDIT: It is on Windows XP Pro.
