    User Profile Sync Not Syncing Correctly


    Every single time I restart my work computer it takes about 30 minutes to start back up again. It isn't until I log back into my user that the process takes nearly 30 minutes just to log on. Then once I am in, there are a TON of desktop icons that reappear (this happens each time I restart) that I have to delete. It's like it's reverting back to an old profile on a specific day. Is there any way to fix this? It's really not a huge issue, but my boss wants me to figure it out as well as fix the computer that continues to give me issues.

    Things to do once connected new G-Sync monitor

    I'm getting my G-Sync monitor today.

    I think I have to take the following steps:

    • Connect 1440p G-sync monitor with DP cable
    • Connect second 1080p 60Hz monitor by HDMI
    • Startup PC
    • Reinstall display driver
    • Restart PC (I always do that after display driver install)
    • Activate G-Sync in NV control panel (I believe also V-Sync is auto on after that?)
    • Set my 1440p monitor from 1080p to 1440p
    • Calibrate my 1440p monitor
    Also ingame, I should turn off V-Sync?
    Are there any problems running a second 60Hz 1080p monitor?

    Is there anything else I should do/know?

    G-Sync is Dead. VESA Adds Adaptive-Sync to DisplayPort Standard

    We shall see.. there are a lot of steps involved to actually get adoption.. In the meantime G-Sync works today

    Edge Chromium syncing question

    Doesnt anybody have any feedback on this one?
    In the new Edge Chromium the Personal profile for your Microsoft Account has listed under Profiles/Sync a Turn On Sync option. In order for it to work..Does it also require Sync Settings to be turned on in Settings/Accounts/Sync Your Settings?
    OR
    When I have all Sync Settings turned off In Settings/Accounts/Sync Your settings.. does that ensure that there will be no syncing at all to other devices from my PC?
    Does turning on the Sync option in an Edge Chromium Personal Profile work independently from that setting meaning even with syncing disabled in Settings/Accounts/Sync Your Settings, turning on syncing in an Edge Chromium profile will override it, meaning Edge Chromium settings (favourites/history etc) will still Sync to other devices anyway?
