Windows 10: Unable to install Game Pass Games via Xbox App / Windows Store due to error 0x87e00017

Hello,


Few weeks ago i noticed a yellow warning on my Minecraft Dungeons icon on Xbox App. Looked into it and it seems like an issue while updating, so i though that maybe there was something wrong with the internet connection and ignored it. Opened the up today and seems lie the game is still unable to update, due to 0x87e00017 error. There is no explanation what that means in the app etc. So uninstalled the game and tried to install it again, but no luck. Same error. Checked with 3 games I had at a time: Minecraft Dungeons, Flight Simulator 2020 and Crusader Kings III. It occurred to me that every game I have installed via Windows Store / Xbox App until some time ago has this issue. But seems the games i have not installed before like Doom Eternal, are installing with no issues.

Things i tried:


Disabling Firewall

WSRESET

Changing installation location

Canceling the installation and starting it again

Installing Windows / Store updates

Changing WindowsApps permission to user and then to NT Service\TrustedInstaller

Deleted all the contents within C:\Program Files\ModifiableWindowsApps

Any idea how to fix it?

If you can’t install Game Pass Games on your PC, follow these suggestions:

Check if you have the right Game Pass

Clear Cache of Xbox Game Pass App

Update to the latest Windows 10 version,viz v1903

Admin privileges for Games

Give Admin privileges for Games

Check Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter

Repair Game if it keeps crashing or doesn’t work

Cannot Sign in to Xbox Live

Xbox Game pass/Windows store - Cannot download a single game.

A few days ago I purchased the Xbox game pass membership, but I cannot download a single game via the windows store or the xbox game pass app. I have tried many many things to get this working, hours and hours spent to no avail. I wont list everything I've
tried because I'd probably be typing for another hour.

When I hit install on the windows store, it simply does nothing, no error message, no download, nothing. When I hit install on the game pass app it says "Preparing 0%" for about 10 minutes, and then gives me an error. The only time I have managed to get
this to change is when I uninstalled gaming services, then attempted to download the game via the game pass app. It stuck at "4% downloading" and sat there for about an hour before giving me an error.



I really need help here, I've already lost days on my subscription and it seems at this rate, half of the month I purchased will be gone by the time it can be fixed. Is a few days extension also possible to make up for the time it hasn't been functioning?

 

Microsoft store game pass and Xbox game pass (Beta)

So I have 'game pass' for the Microsoft store that allows me to download and play the pretty much the same games that are on 'Xbox game' pass (Beta) but for some reason the beta app asks me to subscribe/pay again for the for the Xbox game pass (Beta).
Surely if I have paid £7.99 for the Microsoft store version I should get access to the Beta version? They are both called 'Xbox game pass'. Any help?
