Windows 10: Fake DS4 Controller?

How definitive is the serial number check for a PS4 controller (Fix & Replace | PlayStation Support | Sony PlayStation)? If my serial number doesn't come up, is that a sure thing it's fake. I have one I suspect is fake, but I'm not seeing any of the tell tale signs and it performs pretty well. Just for reference, it is exactly like this one (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbHAYjfVykw). The serial for the one in the video also doesn't come up on the link above.

DS4 Controller won't Pair to PC

Hi Dnz_Boi, the controller also has no issue when you connect it to a different machine?

Have also tried these steps below?

Open the previously installed app -> click on Settings.

Enable the Hide DS4 controller option.

Drag the corner of the windows and expand it -> you will see Controller/Driver Setup in blue -> click on it.

A UAC pop-up will appear asking for permission -> click Yes.

Another pop-up will appear showing you a picture of a controller -> minimize it (do not close it).

Go to Manage Bluetooth Device screen -> follow on-screen instructions (hold share and PS button for 3 seconds).

Your controller will appear in the list -> click on it and pair.

Bluetooth connection with DS4 controller

I plugged a blue tooth dongle into the computer and the drivers installed correctly but when I go to connect my DS4 controller it "connects" then after short period of time flashes as "human interface device" then dissapears and my controller turns off.

 

Bluetooth not connecting to DS4 controller

I have a QUALCOMM QCA9377chipset
which is installed on a Dell Inspiron 3593 with windows 10.

I am trying to connect a sony DS4 controller to it via Bluetooth. All other Bluetooth seems to work fine but it cannot connect to the controller. The controller works on other PC’s and phones. I have checked all drivers are up to date and I can only
assume that it is a compatibility issue.

The chip is Bluetooth 5.0.
