Microsoft Solitaire Level Achievements are a Useless Joke

I have been playing MS Solitaire for years. I have played only Klondike Standard Draw 3. Once I felt I had mastered the basics of the game, I chose to play at Grandmaster level of play only. When MS started charging for advertisement-free game play, I went ahead and paid for the year. So yeah, I put my money where my mouth is, as it were. I've paid to have an opinion here.

When MS "gamified" solitaire, with new levels and titles to achieve, I was intrigued. I wondered: "When does an achievement FINALLY pay off in seeing some kind of a...."something"? I thought maybe when I achieved Gold Grandmaster Level 100, maybe then I would go from Gold Grandmaster to....what? Platinum Grandmaster maybe? Nope. Nothing. So then when I approached Level 1000, I thought: "Well, maybe NOW the MS game planners will award SOMETHING..."? Nope. Nothing.

So, the concept of "achievements" in this game is a JOKE. On US. I find it REALLY hard to believe that the company that goes to such GREAT lengths to reward gaming achievements in the rest of their platforms should leave one of the popular and played games of all out in the back yard, howling at the moon. Come on MS Devs, you can do better than this.

    :)

  2. Microsoft Solitaire is not working

    Hi,

I need more information about your concern. Is there any error message/code after Microsoft Solitaire fails to launch? Since the steps you have tried did not work, I suggest that you reinstall it instead. Follow the steps below:

    • Open Windows PowerShell as an administrator. (Type PowerShell in Start menu search box, right-click and select Run as administrator)
    • Type the following command and press Enter "Get-AppxPackage *solitairecollection* | Remove-AppxPackage"
    • You can close the PowerShell window and restart your device.
    • Open Store app and search for Microsoft Solitaire Collection and download the game.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Microsoft Solitaire events crashed

Thank you for the information. It turns out that the twinapi.appcore.dll files are corrupted, that's why you're getting the said error message. We suggest that you uninstall Microsoft Solitaire Collection on your computer, and then perform
    the following steps:

    • Press Windows key + R to open Run.
    • Type WSReset.exe and hit Enter.
    • Open Windows Store and install Microsoft Solitaire Collection.

Once done, kindly check if the game works for you.

We'll keep an eye on your update.
