  1. Can't Update from build 17763 error 0x800707E7 - 0X3000D

    Hi there everyone,

For months I have been trying to update my windows 10 build, but it always gets half way through the update and reverts changes. I have tried every single fix I can find in every post available on the subject, and am at a total loss. I have tried running the windows updater, the windows update troubleshooter, updating via the manual windows update provided on the website, and created and ISO to update through with the media creation tool. It always fails the exact same way. I need to be able to update, and not have to reinstall my files/programs.

There is obviously some sort of user mismatch as indicated by my error logs, but per the instructions in other threads I have gone into regedit and deleted all traces of the other users, which were just an Oculus update user, and a Guest user. I also uninstalled all of my Nvidia associated things as people indicated that may create some sort of user update account, but I am unable to find any trace of that account and the issue persists.

Heres a snippet of my setuperr.log where it's failing :

2020-12-03 14:07:06, Error SP User profile suffix mismatch, upgrade cannot continue.[gle=0x00000012]

I can see in my setupact log it is creating a user directory with.000 at the end for me and then having issues cause it can't match that to my normal account with no suffix. Here is the area of that log that I am referring to:

    Issue with Windows 10 update - 0x800707E7 - 0x3000D

    Good evening,

Recently I have tried to update my laptop to the latest version of Windows.

I followed the update instructions through the 'MediaCreationTool20H2' app, as per suggested by Microsoft member, but I keep receiving the same error (I have now tried 2/3 times).

    Error Code: 0x800707E7 - 0x3000D

"The installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during MIGRATE_DATA operation"

System Model: HP Pavilion Power Laptop 15-cb0xx

Microsoft Windows Version 1803 (OS Build 17134.1345)

Could please someone help me solve this issue?

I'm trying to update my PC from Windows 7 to 10. I use the media creation tool and the update will proceed roughly half-way before it rolls back and i get the following error message:

    0x800707E7 - 0x3000D

"The installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during MIGRATE_DATA operation"

I have already researched this problem on the web and tried pretty much every troubleshooting step I could find, but without success.

I've uploaded the Panther & Rollback logs to the following OneDrive location:Logs

    Please help!
