My Family Safety is applying restrictions to the organizer

    Hello,

In my family group a minor aged user has restrictions applied.

Being logged into Windows using an administrator / organizer account, the child's account logged into Edge as a new profile.

From this moment the following occurs:

    - The wallpaper of the minor's desktop was applied to the administrator [solved ;]

    - Navigation restrictions, time of use, etc.are since then applied to the administrator's account mentioning the minor's name when asking for permissions!

    - When the time is up, the admin has to ask for time to himself, windows goes crazy showing windows with messages of obscure meaning and more time can only be granted from another device.

The minor's profile has already been removed from the Edge browser, with no result in terms of restrictions.

Any suggestions to fix this absurdity?

Family Safety is a very necessary program that, in my opinion, sometimes seems out of control when it comes to managing accounts, continually asking for identifications when opening new tabs, with links going nowhere or to the same window you were already in. , etc. etc. etc.

    Greetings and thanks,

    José.

    :)

  2. Windows 10 Family safety - child can disable all feature, why?

    Hi,

There may be a sync issue with the restrictions that has been applied to the child account. To isolate your concern regarding Family Safety, we recommend that you follow these steps:

    • Remove the Child account on the Family Safety website.
    • Change the passwords of your account.
    • Add the Child account again.
    • Add the restrictions to the Child account again.

Keep us updated with the results if your child will still be able to turn off the Family Safety feature after performing the steps above.

  3. Family Safety Windows 10 Adult filtering restricts to allowed site list only

    Hi,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community, we’re here to help you with this issue.

Please answer the below questions to assist you better,

Are you managing the Family safety settings through the Family safety website or through the control panel?

If you are using the website, what level of web filtering restrictions did you apply?

If the web filtering restriction level is set to ‘Warn on adult’, it will allow all websites but only shows a warning when an adult website is visited. I would suggest you to set the web filtering level to either ‘Online communication’
or ‘General interest’ or ‘Designed for Children’ filters which will block all adult website. Refer to these steps:

    a) Log into the Family safety website (https://familysafety.microsoft.com/ ).

    b) Click on the child account and click on ‘Web filtering’ in the left pane.

    c) Click on “restriction level’ and choose the appropriate filter.

If you are managing Family safety through control panel, then follow these steps:

    a) Press Windows key + F, set the search filter to settings.

    b) Type ‘Family safety’ and click on the Family safety tile.

    c) Click on the child account and then click on the ‘Set web filtering’.

    d) Choose the appropriate filter.

I would also suggest you to follow the steps given under the section
Set limits on the websites your child can visit of the link given below.

Filter inappropriate apps and games on Windows 10

Try these steps and let us know the results for further assistance.

Family Safety doesn't work on power saver

I tried everything you suggested, but nothing worked. I think the problem is that power saver restricts running Family Safety and other apps from running in the background. I can manually enable an app in the Settings, but there's no such app like Family
    Safety in the list.
