Windows 10: We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one.

Dear Microsoft,


Recently, I was trying to install Windows on my Laptop PC. I tried to install, but this is the error I got: We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one. I tried to fix it so many times, but it didn't work. It is an Acer laptop, model ES1-512 and on the YouTube tutorials, everyone said that he/she fixed the problem. The version of Windows I am trying to install is Windows 10 build 10586, which is from 2015. A technician from Serbia told me to install the latest Windows OS. Unfortunately, I do NOT have any newer versions. I cannot understand how can a PC get this error and not let me install even Windows 98/Me/2000/XP on it. I don't want my PC to be stuck forever on these steps, last night I called the PC repair store and they couldn't help me either. They told me to give them my laptop and they will try to fix it. I hope there is at least one way to solve this error:

Because I want to fix my old PC and sell it to someone. Then, I am going to get a new Laptop and forget the errors :-


Please, but please, give me a working solution. When I was watching YouTube tutorials and did exactly like them, it didn't solve my problem.


I hope you will respond to me in a short time. I want to have a working PC for work.

Try this:

Before you get to that message, press SHIFT + F10 to open a command prompt.

Run diskpart.
At the diskpart prompt, run these commands:

list disk

At this point you should see the SSD as disk 0. If it has another disk number, use that number rather than "0" in the next command.

select disk 0
clean
exit (to exit from diskpart)
exit (to exit from the command prompt)





That should clear the contents of the disk. The entire disk space should then show up in Windows setup as "Unallocated Space" as in the screenshot below.

I am trying to install windows 10 1909 downloaded from microsoft download page into my m.2 drive. I want to use mbr system so I made sure that my m.2 drive is mbr using AOMEI partition tool but the problem when I run the windows 10 setup I get this error when I select my m.2 partition

I tried the steps in this link but it did not work:

I tried also to convert my drive to GPT but I get error : partition is of GPT style !!!! however I want to use mbr so please help me to install it a mbr
