  1. My keyboard stops working for a few seconds and then it resumes.

Hi. A few days ago, I bought a Redragon Kumara K552 wired. At first everything seemed to be ok. But recently I started to have some problems.

Sometimes, the keyboard just disconnects completely and turns off this happens with my mouse too, and I have to reboot all the computer because it just keeps not recognizing them. I have to say this only happened two times, but it's ridiculously uncomfortable.

Commonly, the keyboard experiments some micro disconnections: when I'm writing, it simply stops the input for a few moments and then gets back to it, or just keeps a key spamming the time this 'lag' happens the RGB doesn't turn off, so I think it doesn't disconnects completely, but I don't understand why it keeps doing that.

Other times, there are some specific keys that Windows fails to recognize and write them correctly, while all the others work as good as they are supposed to. This keys vary from time to time, so I don't think the problem is in the keyboard itself.

I have already uninstalled and installed the keyboard and everything. The drivers aren't the problem here because it is a 'plug & play' keyboard and doesn't have any.

The keyboard works fine as I've tried it on another pc and it worked perfectly.

I would love your help :

    :)

  2. Wired Keyboard and Mouse Stop Working - Windows 10

Wired Keyboard and Mouse Stop Working - Windows 10
I have an old Dell Studio that is running windows 10 ---

Ir has Windows 10 and SSD installed - to me it does what it needs to do but this darn mouse and keyboard stuff stopping working with no rhyme or reason is making me very frustrated.

Keyboard and Mouse are wired - NOT WIRELESS

    • I cannot easily unplug and plug in the mouse/keyboard to get it going again... they are still lit up but they are dead basically and I have to do a hard reset.
    • USB selective suspend is disabled.
    • I checked the drivers for the keyboard and mouse and they are updated.
    • I checked to see if PC has KB4074588 and it does not.

I am not sure what else to do.... I can go days without the issue and then days where anytime I step away from the PC it stops working.

I can say when it is working it just does not just stop ... only when I walk away and the machine is idle or the screen is locked.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  3. Microsoft keyboard (wireless) does not work after resuming from hibernation.

    Hardware:

    • Microsoft EKZ-00001 Modern Keyboard with Fingerprint ID.
    • Dell OptiPlex 3050
    • USB Dongle - Asus BT400

After resuming my PC from hibernation, the keyboard doesn't work. I use the keyboard in the wireless mode via an USB dongle. I'm using the latest version
of Windows 10 with all updates applied. This issue did not happen in 2017 and the larger part of 2018. Since one of the larger updates in the last months of 2018, this issue started happening. An update must have changed something in the configuration of Windows
    10. No other changes have been applied to my PC.

    I've found a work around:

When resumed from hibernation, and the keyboard is not working, use the mouse to click to hibernate, at the login screen. The
PC will go into hibernation again. When the PC is off, turn it on and when it resumes from hiberation the keyboard works. This means I will have to hibernate and resume the PC twice every time to get the keyboard
    to work.

Can you please help me find a solution to this issue?

    Hi Zunair,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft community.

    1. What update are you referring to?

I suggest you to pug in external keyboard and check if it works.

Let’s troubleshoot the issue by referring to these methods and check the issue status:

    Method 1:

Refer to the link to run the troubleshooter:

Windows has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Hardware and Devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Devices.

    Refer these steps:

    • Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
    • Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
    • Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.
    • Run the Hardware and Devices.

    Method 2:

Let’s try updating the driver for the mouse and keyboard and verify the results. Follow the steps:

    a) Press Windows and X key together and select Device Manager.

    b) Locate the Key board device icon. Right click on the driver icon.

    c) Select Update driver software.

    c) Select "browse my computer for a driver software".

    d) Select “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer”.

    e) Select the driver option according your device model and installed.

    f) If this does not work, follow the steps from ‘a’ to ‘c’ and select “Search automatically for the updated driver”.

    g) Choose the same steps to update the driver for keyboard as well.

Check if it resolves the issue. If not, I would suggest you to download and install the latest available drivers for the keyboard from manufacturer website of the laptop. If the issue still persists, install the driver in Windows Compatibility mode and check
    if that helps.

    Method 3: Compatibility mode

Follow the steps below on how to install driver in compatibility mode:

    1. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

    2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

    3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

    4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.

    5. Let the driver install and then check the functionality.

Hope this helps. If the issue remains unresolved, please get back to us and we would be happy to

    help.

    Thanks.
