  1. Failed WiFi connection after sleep/hibernate

After a while, for some reasons, I am experiencing some problems with my WiFi. After I turn on my laptop from sleep/hibernation, the WiFi is not connected.

Sometimes I have to wait a few minutes and sometimes I even have to restart my laptop to get my WiFi working.

Like I said, a simple reboot solves everything, until next time.
This was not the problem a couple of days ago. Appeared from nowhere.

    :)

Failed connection to WiFi after sleep/hibernate

So there were in fact three issues. So let's bring them all together.

    1. Cannot see other networks as long as I am connected to the internet. As soon as I disconnect all other networks that are in range are visible again.
For this I have not found (yet) a solution.
    2. Cannot connect after sleep/hibernate. This one has been resolved with a disabling the energy saving setting on the WiFi network adapter.
    3. Cannot turn-on WiFi after manually turning it off or after going to Airplane mode.
This one has been resolved with a disabling the energy saving setting on the WiFi network adapter.

Now, about point number 1 I have contacted MS Support and they remotely connected to my device, unfortunately we couldn't find any solution and I have been instructed to contact ASUS support because of my device model. I will contact them and see what could
    it be.

Here are some of the things that I have tried with MS Support Representatives:

    1. Changed Value to "Auto" from "20MHz Only" for property "802.11n Channel Width for band 2". This would partially solve the issue. It would still sometimes happen nearby networks to be gone but the problem with disabling the WiFi and enabling it back again
was not an option, the problem was back even with disabled energy saving setting on the WiFi network adapter.
    2. Updated the drivers to the Microsoft version -> Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 2230 (Microsoft). This didn't help as well, problems were the very same as before.

I must say that I do not believe this is a hardware issue because I can connect to the internet and can use it without any interruptions while surfing.

As I said I will try with ASUS Support and I will let You know. Also I will edit my first post and the other ones so other people in the future can have a better understanding.

Hopefully I will find a solution, but if I do not, please give me an article where the system restore is explained step-by-step. I hope there is a option to select to which date u want to go back.

    Sleep,hibernate, and shutdown

    Hi,

Usually, Sleep and Hibernate features are used to save power when using a computer. However, hibernate may not be available for all PCs as it was designed for laptops. Regarding your concern, since you’re trying to turn
off or disable these features, you may follow the step below:

    • To turn off Sleep:

Go to Settings > System > Power & sleep. Then, select
Never from the drop-down list under the Sleep section.

    • To disable Hibernate:
    • Type Command Prompt in the Search box from
      Start
      .
    • Right-click on it, then select Run as administrator.
    • In the Command Prompt window, type powercfg.exe /hibernate off and press
      Enter. Close the window.

We’re just here if you need further help.

    sleep or hibernate

I think you have sleep and hibernate confused... sleep just puts the computer in a low power state, making resuming the session faster... hibernate shuts down the whole computer and basically just saves whats in RAM to the hdd and loads it on next startup. IIRC...
