  1. How to 'lock' program to second monitor so it doesn't move?

I've looked around for answers without much success, but maybe I missed something. I've only seen Fences, DisplayFusion, and the like brought up.

Currently, when my PC isn't in sleep mode, but monitors are asleep, my programs get forced over to the primary monitor for some reason. Same thing happens when I do a graphics driver update- everything gets thrown onto the primary monitor. Windows + Shift + Left doesn't align things how I'd like either, so I have to drag everything back how I want. Is there a way to lock things in place?

And is there a way to lock program icons/shortcuts and folders in place on the desktop as well? Thanks!

Windows doesn`t start. Authomatic repair doesn`t work.

    Thanks again!!

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

I ran SeaTools. These are the results:

Does it mean my HDD is useless?

Opening programs on second monitor, not main monitor

    Hi,

Thank you for being a part of Windows 10.

I would suggest you to try the following steps.

    1. Right click a free area of the desktop, select "properties"

    2. Click the "settings" tab

    3. Click the mouse on the seconary monitor grapic,

    4. UNCHECK the box "extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor"

    5. Click the primary monitor graphic

    6. Make sure that "use this device as primary monitor" is CHECKED

If you're not sure which is 1 and which is 2, tap the "identify" button. It should display a huge, gigantic "1" on the primary monitor.

Or if that does not work, right click the application on the Taskbar, click Move, then use the arrow keys to move the program. The mouse cursor locks to the program window and you can use the mouse to position the program
on your screen, you just have to use the arrow keys initially.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other issues with Windows in future.
