    Date & time sync issues

    I've a windows 10 Pro installation on a desktop bought August 2020.

    However, I have synchronisation issues. The computer won't synchronize automatically. It always displayed the date/time of the most recent shutdown of the computer.

    Settings in date/time:

    * Time automatic set

    * Time zone automatic set

    * Time server: time.windows.com

    Settings of Windows Time service local computer:

    * Service name: w32time

    * startuptype: automatic

    * Status: service in execution

    * path: c:\windows\system32\svchost.exe -k LocalService

    Result SFC /scannow: no problems

    My hardware supplier that might be something with dual Windows accounts, but I wouldn't know where to look and start.

    I can synchronize manually, but that is laborious to do this for each new session.

    Please help.

    :)

  2. Automatic Time and Date - anyone having issues?

    Hi Mark,

    I do appreciate your efforts and time, and will assist you with the issue.

    I suggest you to synchronize your computer clock with an Internet time server.

    You can synchronize your computer clock with an Internet time server. This means that the clock on your computer is updated to match the clock on the time server, which can help ensure that the clock on your computer is accurate. Your clock is
    typically updated once a week and needs to be connected to the Internet for the synchronization to occur.

    Note: If your computer is on a domain, you can't synchronize your clock with an Internet time server.

    Please follow the steps below:

    • Open date and time by clicking on the clock at the bottom right corner of your screen.

    • Click on date and time settings.

    • In the bottom click on additional date, time and regional settings.

    • Select first option in date and time.

    • Click on the Internet time tab.

    • Click on change settings.

    • Select time.nist.gov from the drop down list.

    Hope this helps in resolving the issue. If the issue persists, do get back to us. We will be happy to assist you.

  3. Date and Time Not Syncing Automatically

    I am a Windows 10 user. I am also using Linux Ubuntu in parallel with Windows 10 as I have dual booted my laptop. The problem I am facing is that the date and time is not automatically syncing in Windows 10. Everytime I boot Windows, I have to manually sync
    it by going to "Date and Time Settings" and clicking on Sync Now.

    The date and time in ubuntu is working just fine and shows no problem which indicates that there is no hardware issue.

    The "Set time automatically" option in Date & Time settings is on but it doesn't seem to work.

    Any suggestions are welcome.

    Thanking you in advance.
