Windows 10: Can new feature appending title on pinned tasks be disabled?

A recent Windows update changed how pinned tasks now appear in the taskbar. Now there is a title appended to the task icon.


See attached image below, showing the first four pinned tasks are open with an appended title, and the next five pinned tasks not open showing no title. The titles are truncated as more tasks are opened, so the ones on the right are not pushed off the bar as I feared, but I still find this new feature annoying.


Maybe I'll grow to love it, but for now is there a way to toggle this title off?

Disable Sign In PIN

You can also disable PIN using registry. Try these steps:

1. Open Registry Editor.
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System.
3. Set AllowDomainPINLogon to 0.
4. Close Registry Editor and reboot your system.

Pin File Explorer to Taskbar

I have gone through all of the recommended steps for pinning File Explorer to the task bar and nothing works. Any suggestions as to why this is happening?

Clear "Pin suggested" list in People Bar

Does anybody know how to clear the "Pin suggested" list on the "People bar"?

Contacts are added to the "Pin suggested" list once you've pinned and unpinned them. But there seems to be no obvious way to remove them from that list.

After playing around with this feature and pinning and unpinning many dummy contacts, it's rather annoying to see them in the "Pin suggested" list when you click on the "My People" icon in the taskbar.
