Windows 10: Windows 10 lagging all of a sudden.

Hello, today I noticed something strange about my windows. I wanted to open up paint but it wouldn't open, I tried to open the search bar via hotkeys but It also didn't work. I've tried to open up a game and it didn't have any problems, the game was smooth and opened instantly. I tried opening up some windows apps like recycle bin, file explorere and control panel. All of them opened up after 3 minutes. I didn't have this problem until today and it seems like it's only doing this to the apps that are from windows. Also when I managed to open up file explorer it looked like this and it took 5 minutes to load

the whole thing. The only app I saw that opened instantly was the "settings" app and everything worked smoothly there. I have to mention that I did not download anything other than Star Wars Battlefront 2 from epic games in the last 2 days. I tried to see if there were any updates I could do for my windows and there aren't any because the last time i updated my windows was 1 day before the problem. I tried to restart my windows multiple times and it also didn't work. The only thing I did not try was to reinstall the windows. Also my windows is on an SSD and it was brand new, didn't have any problems.

Random lag spikes

We would like to know more about your lag issue:

• What browser are you using when you experience a lag?
• Does the lag occur in a particular game?

In the meantime, we suggest you run the System Maintenance troubleshooter. Here are the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• On the left pane, click on View All.
• Click on System Maintenance to run the troubleshooter.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
