Windows 10: Strange Icon Appearing

Hello,

Recently I am seeing the icon appearing on my desktop when logging on after a restart/shutdown or period of inactivity, and I have never seen this before, does the community here know what it means, and more importantly how I can make it stop appearing.


The icon location is at the top-centre screen, and visible for a very short time, hence the blurred images because screen capture didn't work.


Any help, insights, or suggestions are more than welcome.

Strange USB-Drive Icons

Hi, I've not looked into this at all, but looking at that folder the one that appears to contain the strange icon is
f4e323bf-0f31-42b6-9ad6-5d5382d3fa83
- I don't have one called 797289b8-812a-4d9e-bda5-91567fd47bc6

Would I be correct in thinking that this ico file is the clue as to which to delete?




And thanks- having deleted the folder it did indeed prove necessary to use Driver Booster as described. Problem solved- for now...

 

Cannot set home button icon Microsoft Edge

but your suggestion did not work.When i turn off home button in Edge and re-open Edge and turn on home button ...the home icon appears but fades away when Edge is re-opened.

I even uninstalled Edge and re-installed Edge following a fellow members suggestion tutorial but this step did not work either.

If your phone is acting strange and almost "buggy" I suggest that you try to reset your phone back to factory defaults and see if the icons appear again after adding the email accounts.



Windows Phone 7 Factory Reset:

• From Start on your Windows Phone, flick left to the App list.
• Tap Settings, then tap about.
  
• From the about screen, tap reset your phone, located at the bottom of your screen.
  
• Click yes to confirm your reset.
