Windows 10: My PC restarted while a game download in the Xbox App was at 90%. Now the download progress...

PLEASE DONT LOCK THE THREAD I NEED HELP im begging i dont want to reset my pc. i genuinely need help. please tell me you can at least do your job. ive been told this has been a thing for a year. theres 20 gigs out of my hundred there but not because of this

please help


this is a major issue, because theres no fix i can find. if someone download a big game then their pc restarts they could loose everything on their pc just because of a year old glitch.

My PC restarted while a game download in the Xbox App was at 90%. Now the download progress has been erased and I cant find the file.

I was downloading Fallout 76 on the Xbox app through my Gamepass subscription, and after installing a driver for my motherboard my computer restarted automatically with the game still downloading and at about 90%. Now when I open the app and go to the
Fallout 76 page I no longer have the option to resume the download, only start it again from scratch. I downloaded about 70 GB which still seem to be taking up space on my SSD but I can't seem to find the file anywhere to verify that it's still on my drive
somewhere. Is there a way to force the game download to continue it's progress or do I need to start over again? And how do I delete the old download file if I do need to start over?

 

Unable to download certain games on Xbox App or Microsoft games store

Hi there,

I am trying to download No Man's Sky onto my computer via both the microsoft and xbox gaming app. I am able to download other games (Sea of Theives, Moonlighter) with no issue, but others (such as no mans sky) either do nothing (when trying in microsoft
app) or Error code 0x00000001 (Xbox store).

Steps I have done to troubleshoot:

1. Uninstalled and reinstalled both stores

2. Reparied and reset both apps from apps settings

3. Uninstalled Xbox app and tried to download from microsoft store

4. Went into services and ensured all xbox services are running

- I have 2 instances of Gaming services. One is running and the other gives error code 31 when trying to start it

5. I have reset gaming services and the app downloader from settings

6. I have restarted my pc many times

7. I have fully updated windows

8. I have peformed a repair install of windows

Nothing works. All other forms and questions I have seen only seem to generate the generic responses of

1. Restart your PC

2. Reset the app

3. Update windows

4. Repair install

I have followed all of these steps and still cannot properly access services. Can you please suggest any other approaches to fixing this error?

Where are my downloaded Games?

Hi Brandon,

Games downloaded from the Microsoft Store website or through the Windows Store app are added in the Xbox app's Game list. To access this, kindly perform the following steps:

• Select the Start button, then select Xbox.
• Sign in using the Microsoft account you've used to download the game.
  
• Select My games. Games you have on that device will appear there.

If you can't see the game, it may be because the game was not automatically added on your Game list. To add it, proceed with the steps below:

• Select the Start button, then select Xbox.
• Sign in using the Microsoft account you've used to download the game.
• Select My games.
• Select Add a game from your PC.
• You'll see a scrollable list of all Win32 games and programs that have
  Start menu shortcuts. From the list, find Solitaire HD and add it to your
  My games menu so you can quickly browse for and launch the game.
• Once you've selected your choices, select Add selected games at the bottom of the pop-up window.
