    i have a weird headset i spent a fortune on, this specific model has a weird defect that has audio channels switched, i want to switch them back through windows 10 settings, and if it doesn't work then i could resort to a 3rd party program that you could recommend

    How to swap left and right audio channels

    My headset swaps the left and right audio channels. I used Equalizer APO previously but I had to reinstall Realtek due to some issues. When I tried doing the same fix again after reinstalling, it no longer works. Are there any other ways to swap the channels?
    Why doesn't windows have a built in setting for this? or is there any way to do it through Realtek? Using mono isn't an option for me since I work with sound a lot and need stereo.

    Make sure that headset 3.5mm plug is pushed all the way in

    Are you sure that you have the headset on the correct way round - I know this sounds like a stupid thing to suggest . .

    Windows by default does not allow swapping of left and right channels . . .

    What Audio icon do your see in your bottom right System tray, is that realtek or some other sound panel?

    What is the exact Make and Model of that headset?

    Media Player - left right channels -swapping and controlling

    I have a recently installed Win10 on my new computer. I can find no way of discovering which version of Media Player is present - there is no help file. The playback device is a Realtek HD Audio 2nd output.

    I wish to listen to a CD (a langage course) where the audio signal is recorded and plays back on the left channel. I have no speakers so I am using head phones. Unfortunately I am just about deaf in my left ear, so I need to swap the left and right channels,
    and close down the left one.

    I can find no way of doing this.

    My media controller under Windows 7 did it fine.
