Windows 10: Windows 10 DVD Burner wrong Region Code

I have created a DVD ISO image in Adobe Premiere Elements and successfully burned a DVD using WinX DVD software.


However, burning that same ISO image with Windows 10 "Burn Disk Image" produces a DVD which will not play in some external DVD players citing a Wrong DVD Region Code.


I have checked the Dell DVDRX DW316 in Devices and it properly reports the DVDRW set to Region 1.


Is there some way to set the Region Code in WIN10's DVD Burner?

No DVD Burner in win10

Hi. Thank you for your quick response. I downloaded the suggested programme and was able to produce the necessary VOB files. I could not get the burner to work however. Although the programme recognises my burner as per screen, my PC tell me to insert a disc. I have used both my H and I drives, and also tried DVD+RW and DVD-R, both of which are compatible with the programme. Bree ( a forum guru), also suggested using DVD style.I downloaded that but got the same result. I know that you may not be clued up on the particular software, could there be an issue with the drives? when I check the device manager, things seem to be okay. I just feel that I am missing a step somewhere. When I used win 7, I didnt think about what I was doing, it just happened

 

Windows 10 will not allow any region changes to the DVD driver

This issue might occur if region settings is done correctly.



I suggest you to follow the steps below to change the region settings from region 2 to region 4 ( Australian).

1. Press Windows Key + R Key.

2. Type “devmgmt.msc” without the quotes and hit on Enter Key.

3. Expand DVD/CD-ROM drives, right-click the DVD drive for which you want to change region settings and then click
Properties.

4. On the DVD Region tab.

5. Under list of regions, scroll down the mouse to search for Australia from the list and click on it.

6. Then region 4 will be listed below, then click on Ok button.

Steps:

• Press Windows key, type troubleshooting
  and select it.
• Click on View all in the left pane.
• Click onWindows Media Player DVD and follow the onscreen instructions.
