Windows 10: How to disable Windows Search accessing web

Im on windows 10 home and the fact that every time I type an app name and press enter it instead gives me bing searches is infuriating. I want to disable the whole thing to where it can only access my local machine. Already tried googling it but no luck. All the registry edits they tell me to do are in keys that i dont have. anyone have a solution? Im on windows version 20H2. Thanks in advance

Disabling web results in the search box depends on the version and build of your Windows 10. We suggest checking the Windows 10 version and build installed on your computer. To check the version and build, follow the steps below:

• On Cortana search, type winver and press

• A pop-up box will appear containing the version and build of your operating system.

Meanwhile, you can try these steps on how to disable web results in the search box:

• Click the search box in the taskbar.

Since the steps above did not work for you, we suggest that you disable web search by navigating the settings of Cortana itself. Please follow the steps below:

• Open the search box in the taskbar.

Disable Web Search when I hit Windows Key to Search my Computer

To be able to disable the Web Search when using the searchbox, you need to turn off Cortana. The searchbox will now say "Search Windows" instead of "Ask me anything." It will be more responsive and only show results from your hard drive or local network. To
do this, you can follow the steps below:

• Login to Windows 10 computer with your Microsoft account.
• Click on Cortana search bar.
• In the search box at the bottom, type Disable Cortana.
• Once the suggestions appear in the list, click Cortana & Search settings.
• Then turn off Cortana option.
