  1. Windows 10 Home 2004 edition. Can't find Files On Demand.

I am currently using Windows 10 2004 Home edition that came with my personal laptop. Does Files On-Demand even come with this version of Windows? I have tried looking up support on all the different things you have to try just to know if you have it or how to turn it on but a lot of the things it says to look for I don't know where to look. It says you need Windows Fall Creators update to use the new Files On-Demand but I have looked everywhere and can't tell if I have it already or not. I have tried all I know to try and can't find the real place to actually download it to save my life. It says you can look at settings on OneDrive and select back up my files. I don't have that option on my version. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling OneDrive. It skips passed all of the setup section and resumes where I left off. Oh, but now I have several copies of certain files. I have tried dealing with this issue many times but eventually get tired or bored and quit. I have even purchased several programs that say they will help clear up space on your PC and optimize your system. Nothing has worked. Now, my C: is almost completely full so I don't have that option anymore. I thought I had OneDrive set up to download everything directly to it but I guess not. Will someone out there please take the time to help me finally get this issue resolved while I still can? I'm so tired of the loop I seem to be in. Also, one of the programs I purchased says that my PC has not updated in over two weeks now just to add fuel to my flame. Every time I try to update it says it's up to date. Is that just another symptom of this issue or is it yet another separate problem I need to address? Someone please help me?

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Windows 10 Home 2004 edition. Can't find Files On Demand.

File History & OneDrive on Demand

I know that "files on demand" aren't saved on my computer. However, I still have the following problems:

    • After starting a new File History backup from scratch (as suggested in the first response) the majority of my Onedrive , including almost all files that are marked as "Always Keep on this Device" are not backed up.
    • Even for files marked as "Files on Demand" - surely File History should be able to back them up anyway? The whole point of a good backup system is that you have copies of files in multiple places (and OneDrive's cloud system only counts as 1). The creation
of the file history would be download heavy as it copies every file to my backup device, but after that it should only have to download single files as changes are made.
