High CPU usage of Windows Audio & Realtek HD Audio Universal Service

    Information of Laptop:

    System Name: LAPTOP-H2DL499A

    System Model: ZenBook S UX391UA
    Processor: IntelR CoreTM i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz, 1992 Mhz, 4 Cores, 8 Logical Processors
OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Home
    Version 10.0.19042 Build 19042

    Hi!

A couple of months ago, the sound of my laptop completely disappeared. To solve this issue, I reinstalled all my audio drivers I may have installed different ones. This did not immediately solve the issue but my sound appeared again after a couple of restarts. Now I have a new issue: Both Windows Audio & Realtek HD Audio Universal Service have extremely high CPU usage to the point where my laptop starts lagging. Especially when using Zoom or other video call services and when I start up my laptop this problem occurs. I tried to turn off all audio enhancements, this didn't work. My Realtek Audio drivers are up-to-date.

I do not know what to do at this moment. Under device manager I see that I have both IntelR Display Audio latest version and Realtek R Audio.

In addition, Agent Activation Runtime_1fcf8a also seems to spike my CPU usage. I do not know whether this has something to do with it.

Hopefully, someone can help with these problems!

    Thanks in advance,

    Bram

    :)

Realtek HD Audio Manager High CPU Usage

    - Were you able to update the BIOS after upgrading to Win10 ?

    - ASUS don't seem to provide full Win10 driver support for this machine, and because they use a custom

Realtek audio - SonicMaster High Definition 7.1 Channel Audio - there may be issues if not using a driver

    supplied by ASUS.

The Win 8.1 driver that came with the driver disk provided by ASUS for you machine may be a better option

than a generic driver from Realtek, or Windows updates.

    - Another option, if you can find the motherboard model, is you may be able to download a Realtek driver for

that motherboard from ASUS that is specific for Win10.

    - Or, if you are lucky, Windows updates may install a suitable driver when you reboot, after you uninstall the

    current Realtek audio.

    - If you continue having issues when using the original driver on the disk, or a generic driver from Windows updates

or Realtek, you may do better to go back to Win 8.1.

    - If Realtek HD Audio Manager still shows high cpu use after you uninstall the Realtek audio driver, without

reinstalling a Realtek audio driver, then you may have a malware/virus disguising as Realtek.

Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation HIGH CPU USAGE

My PC has a Realtek audio driver from Dell manufacturer with Waves maxx audio driver. Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation is using about 25% CPU usage. Enhancements tab is not appearing on playback properties. I want to disable enhancements to reduce
    high CPU usage.

I don't want to install Microsoft's High Definition Audio Device for enhancements tab to appear. Is there any way to reduce high CPU usage while having the Realtek audio driver?

High CPU usage of Windows Audio & Realtek HD Audio Universal Service

Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation HIGH CPU USAGE

When I install Microsoft's High Definition Audio Device, only the internal microphone is working and microphone on the headphones is not listening to...(I've tried troubleshooting, setting up the microphone in control panel, reinstalling windows etc..
    but nothing worked)

And the other thing is, the microphone on the headphones only listens with the older version of Realtek audio driver and not with the newer version of Realtek driver and High Definition Audio Device.
