Windows 10: Asus A550C facing BSOD problem with stop code WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR

Greetings,

My Asus A550C is facing the bsod problem recently and randomly.

The stop code is Whea uncorrectable error ,but sometimes it is machine check exception.

Most of the time, the pc just hang and frozen,so there are no record in window file.

This problem have disturb me recently,so I hope it can be solved.

It happen randomly.Sometimes it happen when I’m playing games,or editing video,even it will happen when I just start my pc.

I have try sfc/scannow in cmp,and update my display device.

I know this pc is old,but I hope it can be fix.

According to Microsoft, Vista and later usually displays this BSOD instead:

STOP: 0x00000124 WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR

According to Microsoft, the Vista and later equivalent of STOP: 0x0000009C MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION is:

STOP: 0x00000124 WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR

WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (124) BSOD

Xeon's aren't typically listed on a vendor's "officially supported CPUs" list, however, they will still work in alot of boards. It's a very 'do at your own risk' sort of deal. I have a Xeon X3440 running in an Asus p7p55d pro, but it's not listed on their supported list, but still runs well and I haven't seen any issues.

It's likely that if you're overclocking, temps might be an issue, or as @brandonwh64 said above, you just don't have enough voltage for your OC, and you'll need more vcore on your CPU.
