  1. How to show different app icon in start jump list for different OS version for different theme?

I am developing an UWP app. The app icon in jump start list is changed when I upgraded to version 20H2 from version 1903. In 1903, the jump start list app icon was shown from targetsize icon. But in 20H2 it seems like the icon is showing from unplated targetsize.

I want to show app icon for light and dark theme with the following requirements are:

    1. Different app icon for light and dark theme

    2. The icons in jump start list and taskbar have to be same

How can I achieve this in windows 10 OS version [from 1803 ~ 20H2]?

    :)

Jump Lists on Start Disappeared with Anniversary Update - How Do I Get Them Back?

Microsoft in their "I know what you want better than you do" attitude appears to have removed the jump lists, including by right-click. Jump lists appear to be nowhere to be found.

I am running Windows 10 1607 (Aniversary update) with the latest cumulative update, build 14393.693. Items in Start (e.g., Word and Notepad) do not have a right arrow or chevron to get to the jump list of recently opened items and hovering over the icon
does nothing. Right-click on an item in the start menu Most Used or All Apps (they don't label it that any more) section of the second column only gets a menu with Pin to Start, More, and Uninstall. More gets Pin to taskbar, Run as administrator, Open file
location, and Don't show in this list; there is no jump list to be found via right-click. Pinning an app to the tiles also does not allow accessing the jump list via hover or right-click. I do have Start settings "Show recently opened items in Jump Lists
    on Start and taskbar.

Items on the task bar are also missing jump lists via hover or right-click.

Jump lists made me much more efficient. Now without them I have to open the app, find where in the app it has the recently opened file list (they are all different and different versions of Word have it in different places such that I cannot remember them
all), that is, if the app has such a list (Notepad apparently does not).

Microsoft, I need jump lists! I enabled them in settings, so please display them!

I have resisted using Classic Shell so that I know what the real Windows 10 does with the start menu and can help the people that I support, but I might have to just give up on Micosoft and use Classic Shell.

Is it possible to pin different apps on a taskbar on different virtual desktops in Windows 10?

    Hi,

You can personalize the desktop of two computers by pinning the apps, documents and other programs to the taskbar.

Before we assist further, I would like to ask you a few questions:

    • Are you referring to dual screen desktop feature of the computer?
    • Do you want to personalize two different PC taskbars?

You can differ personalizing taskbar applications on different computers. You can either pin the same or differ the applications, programs or games on the computer taskbar according to the necessity.

To pin the apps to taskbar, follow the steps below:

    • Click on Windows logo key on the keyboard to open
      Start menu
      .
    • Right click on the app and select Pin to taskbar option from the context menu.
    • Close the window and check if the app is pinned to taskbar.

Refer to Get Started with Windows 10 Love it? Pin it and check if it helps.

Write to us with the answers to the above questions and the status of pinning apps to taskbar on two desktops in the same post for further assistance. Your reply is most important for us to ensure we assist you accordingly.

    Thank you.
