Disable "chrome --kiosk" shortcuts on Windows 10 Pro.

    Hi,

Our team is developing a Web-UI application activated using the chrome browser onWindows 10 Pro.

I was asked to limit the end-users actions on Windows like Ctrl+...,Alt+...,WinKey+... and on chrome likeCTRL+T, ....

As I understand, on Windows the Registryand GroupPolicy must be updated.

But how the chrome activated in kiosk mode shortcuts can be disabled?

    Sincerely

    Zeev

    :)

  2. Modify Touch Screen Keyboard in Windows Kiosk Mode

I'm opening Windows in kiosk mode and inside it i run Google Chrome also in kiosk mode. (So kiosk inside kiosk).

I want to limit the users to only that particular tab that opens by default in Chrome.

With the keyboard that appears on screen when selecting an input field, people can use chrome shortcuts such as : CTRL + T or CTRL + N and I want to get rid of that. (No physical keyboard will be available, only touch screen keyboard).

    Can i disable

    the
ctrl button from the touch screen keyboard? Or is it another solution?

    Things I've tried:

    • Disabling Chrome shortcuts ( Chrome doesn't let you do that, unlike mozilla )
    • Disable ctrl command from registry ( This blocks ctrl only for the physical keyboard, not for the on screen one )
    • Install a custom keyboard, even though I was able to remove the ctrl key, it wouldn't be accepted as a solution because of security risks.

  3. Windows 10 KIOSK setup with only IE/Chrome Browser

Alright, I run a few applications on actually kiosks that we run like this:

Right-click on Chrome, and create a shortcut.

Right click on that shortcut, and go to properties

In the "Target" field, add " --kiosk " to the end

    Click "Apply."

    Navigate to here:

    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp

Drop the shortcut there, then reboot. Chrome should launch full screen right after you log in. Again, after reading what you mentioned, this probably isn’t the path you want to take.

Let me know, and I’ll try to do some digging on Win 10 Kiosk Mode.

Disable "chrome --kiosk" shortcuts on Windows 10 Pro.

    Chrome kiosk create infinite window

    Context

I'm trying to configure Windows 10 to boot directly on chrome in kiosk mode so the user can only see the webpage.

So I've followed those steps and launch Chrome in kiosk mode with the selected webpage.

    Issues

Unfortunately, there is one more problem :

When I reboot sometimes (Once in three) Chrome open an infinite amount of Chrome browser, not new tabs but new windows.

    Expectation

My needs for this system is to be fully optional anytime even if I ghost this OS on hundreds of device. So if anyone has an idea or suggestions, I will be thankful.
