Windows 10: ERROR MESSAGE THAT APPEARS AT START-UP

Every time I start up windows 10 the following appears. It refers to an APC Back-ups UPS Pro 1000 that I have had for years and this message began a month ago.


Windows cannot find 'C:\Program Files x86\APC\Power Chute Personal Edition\\mainserv.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.




I never type the name before this appears. How do I eliminate this nuisance?

Windows Update Error Message 0x80070543


Ya Ya Ya, there's over a hundred threads like this, ...

Anyway, started getting this error message a few days ago, and done a lot of searching on this error message, apparently it's not, uncommon.

In particular, the (currently) 4 updates that are being affected are:

• Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3173428) - Error 0x80070543
• Security Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3172729) - Error 0x80070543
• Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3174060) - Error 0x80070543
• Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3176493) - Error 0x80070543

The actions I've taken to date are:

1. Uninstalled firewall program (comodo)
2. Uninstalled anti-virus (Avast)
3. Reset the windows update catalog on local machine.

So the above errors are with the above done.

What other steps should I be taking to resolve the issue?

1. Attempted to use the troubleshooter, no dice.

 

Getting an "incompatible cpu" error message, cpu meets specifications !

The problem is that the computer will not start up and this is when the incompatible cpu error message appears.

 

Error Message Appearing at Random

I went to the referenced site. I don't see anything there about getting rid of this problem. It is baffling me. I have been paying attention to when it pops up for months. I don't notice any trigger or program I use that prompts the message.



System owns the directory and I'm not comfortable messing with permissions when System is the owner. Any suggestions about how to stop this annoying message?
