  1. Troubleshooting for "no internet, secured" error

I have tried changing the property of my wifi connection, updating, deleting and reinstalling my network adapter, unchecking internet protocol version 6 TCP/IPv6, and when I run my troubleshooting settings, the networking reset option doesn't properly work. I even tried to run different commands in the command prompt, and it still shows the "No Internet, Secured" text on my wifi connection. How do I fix it?

    :)

    Microsoft Edge TLS Security

After trying everything (not a lot of steps) listed in the Microsoft Edge support site, I did a wider search and found this very simple youtube video that fixed it immediately:

For those who prefer not to click links the steps are simple:

    1. Click in the Cortana search bar next to the Win 10 Start button

    2. Type internet options

    3. Select internet options (control panel) from the list

    4. Click on the advanced tab

    5. Scroll down to the security section

    6. Make sure the following are all clicked:
    Use SSL 3.0
    Use TLS 1.0
    Use TLS 1.1
    Use TLS 1.2

    7. Click apply

    8. Refresh the page that was giving the error and it should now connect.

Hope this helps, it was a 30 second fix after hours of pounding my head against the error with the Support site suggestions.

    internet explorer security

    Hi Candy,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

As per the description, I understand that the internet is not working. However, I would appreciate if you could answer a few questions to narrow down the issue in order to provide you with better assistance.

    a) Which security software is installed in the system?

    b) Do you get any error message when the internet is disconnected?

The issue might arise due to misconfigured settings in Internet Explorer, firewalls from the security software interfering with the connection or a virus infection. In this case, I would suggest you to try the following methods and check if the issue persists.

    Method 1:

First, I would suggest you to run the Internet Explorer performance and Internet Explorer security troubleshooters. These can automatically detect and fix any incorrect settings and errors that could cause issues with Internet
    Explorer. Refer to these steps:

    a) Press Windows key +F to bring up the
    search Charms bar.

    b) Select settings in the drop down menu below search and type
    Troubleshooting.

    c) Click on Troubleshooting
and select the view all option on the left pane.

    d) Click on Internet Explorer performance troubleshooter and follow the prompts.

    e) Follow the same steps to run the Internet Explorer security troubleshooter.

    Method 2:

If the issue still persists, I would suggest you to open Internet Explorer in “No-add-ons” mode and check. Refer to these steps:

    a) Press Windows key +R

    b) Type iexplore.exe –extoff and press enter

    c) Now, Internet explorer will be opened without any add on

    d) If you don’t face any issue in this mode, then probably an add-on is causing this issue.

    Method 3:

I would suggest you to refer to the link and follow steps given in the Microsoft KB article:

What to do when Internet Explorer stops working

Disclaimer: The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might reset security settings or privacy settings that you added to the list of Trusted Sites. The Reset Internet Explorer
Settings feature might also reset parental control settings. We recommend that you note these sites before you use the Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature.

Hope this information is helpful. Do let us know if you need any further assistance, we'll be glad to assist you.

Windows 10 infinite restart black screen

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
