Windows 10: Updated audio drivers. Audio works fine with headphones but completely distorted when...

Unplugged my headphones after gaming sessions, noticed the audio from warzone lobby was distorted. Restarted laptop, audio still distorted; went to troubleshooter, troubleshooter reinstalled something. When to go watch YouTube video and my laptop emits the loudest distorted noise I've ever heard it admit before. Trouble shooter now gives me unrecognized error 0x80070057. I've uninstalled and reinstall everything I could think of, including downloadimg audio drivers straight from MSI websight.

Audio through headphones and through hdmi to TV still work but audio through my laptop speakers is still atrocious. I don't know of it's important but of I have the volume below 9, you can tell the audio is really low fidelity and really high gain any about 9 and its just high pitched crackling noises.

Headphones not working and Realtek HD Audio Manager

• Did you check if your headphones work on other device?
• Did you check if your headphone drivers are detected under Device manager?

I suggest you to check if similar issue persists on connecting the same headphones to another computer. If the issue does not persists, I suggest you to check if the headphone drivers are detected under Device manager by following the steps below:

• Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard select
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand Audio inputs and outputs option and check if the headphone drivers are visible in the window.
• Right-click on the headphone driver and select Update this software
  option.
• Follow the on-screen instructions and wait for the update to complete.
• Close the window after the update is complete and check if the changes are effective.

If the headphone drivers are not visible, I suggest you to download and install the latest and most compatible driver software from the device manufacturer’s website and check if the issue is resolved.

How to fix Win10 Audio distortion

Ever since the last update for win7....and then an update for win10 afew months ago, I have had audio distortion.
When sounds get loud (as in movies or games) the audio starts breaking up.

I followed the Microsoft info to uninstall various drivers....but I have not been able to fix the audio distortion.

Uninstalled logitech headphone software
uninstalled Realtek audio software
uninstalled windows sound drivers
re-booted.

Windows installed software for my headphones automatically. I didn't install the logitech software or realtek audio software, but still have audio distortion.

I don't know what to do now.

Any ideas?

 

Via HD Audio Distorted for Headphones

As I now made it work with a usb sound card, I will now try to boot from a usb-bootable windows 7 to check that windows 7 has a clear headphone audio with the generic driver. If that is confirmed, I do not know what else can be done.
